It’s really simple:

Be here. Or not here.

But it’s not easy. The voices in our head pull our attention to what’s wrong and not enough every chance they get.

Our job is to keep that wily attention with us, here in the present moment.

That’s how meditation helps.

Meditation trains us to direct our attention.

Over-and-over-and-over again, our attention gets pulled away from here. We practice gently bringing it back. Nuthin’ to it!
